Planning was achieved for the refurbishment of an important listed Mayfair Townhouse. The client is a leading vertically integrated diamond trader and this was their landmark site in UK. JWA was approached to create the concept for this unique retail environment to showcase some of the rarest and sought after diamonds and jewellery. At the heart of the design was a bold step to move away from the conventional pedestal glass boxes traditionally presented in the luxury jewellery market. By contrast the mood is that of an elegant Mayfair townhouse where display cases have been integrated into bespoke ‘domestic’ furniture. A polished plaster wall and limestone floor contrast with soft pleated silk and delicate chiffon hung wall opposite. Upstairs private rooms are used for individual consultations and sales presentations.
