Having purchased the property from Modern House, the owner of this house in a seminal 1960’s development was keen to create a fresh new home.
Working within the fabric of the original building, the team created a scheme which stripped back the house to the bones and completely refitted the interior. Space was carved to create kitchen, sitting room, study and two bedrooms with en suite above. Beautiful bespoke joinery was designed to fit seamlessly in to the new interior all built and finished to an extremely high standard.
The design consciously references the original 1960s in form, expression and material use, while the modest floor area available necessitated clever use of space.
Like many historic homes in the South Downs National Park, this Grade II Listed house is a fascinating mix of original 1700s…
