Islington House

Project Description:

A replacement house in a Mews setting in Islington taking up the location of a former metal workshop.  The house is arranged over basement ground and first floor levels, with a lightwell to the rear bringing light and air into the basement and other accommodation to the rear of the building.  The living accommodation at first floor level flows up into the roof structure where a ridge mounted rooflight floods the serene interior with light – quite a surprise in this densely crowded urban site.
