Like many historic homes in the South Downs National Park, this Grade II Listed house is a fascinating mix of original 1700s downland cottage with various modifications and remodelling having been undertaken over the 300 years of this building’s life. JWA was commissioned to seek planning approval and design a complete refurbishment scheme for this house. The team restored the original integrity of the 1930s double height sun room by removing a poorly inserted floor. Restoration of the older parts of the property were carefully considered to ensure the history of the building is clearly legible and the consolidation of areas in a poor state of repair will secure the future of the property as a much loved home for the new owners.
